Sgt. First Class (ret.) Carolyn Brown is the Founder/CEO of One's Story Connect. As a retired United States Army Veteran, Ms. Brown understands the sacrifices of those serving our country as well as the needs of those Veterans who return after selflessly serving their country.
Joining the United States Army in 1990, after one year of college, Ms. Brown saw her first deployment in a foreign country, Sgt. Brown was stationed in Dexheim, Germany during the initial conflict of the Gulf War, in which she served during four campaigns.
Upon her successful conclusion of her Gulf War deployments, she was stationed in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. While stationed in Alaska, Ms. Brown completed a degree in Accounting at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.
Sgt. Brown's Army career included four deployments and retirement after 21 years of honorable service. Her awards includes Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, and Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Service Star. She was a well decorated soldier and received an Honorable Discharge.
Subsequently, after a successful military career, Sgt. Brown relocated to Tampa, FL. She is currently spearheading the One's Story Connect initiative which is a non-profit, Veteran-focused initiative.
As a Veteran, Ms. Brown is acutely aware of the issues facing veterans upon returning to civilian life. Consequently, she is dedicated to the needs of veterans who return from military service.
One's Story Connect is a comprehensive Veterans Resource site that provides live resource links that cater to the various needs of United States Military veterans, ranging from housing assistance to homeless needs and mental health. One's Story vision is to become the premier resource for America's veterans.
